Rickwood Caverns State Park and Museums

On March 27, 2021, Troop 11 went to Cathedral Caverns State Park. Before that though, we went to the Anniston Museum of Natural History and saw all of the historical sights that there were to see. Next, we were en route to Cathedral Caverns to set up our tents. Little did we know, the rain was coming, and it was coming hard. Our troop leaders found a way to set up our tents and whatnot under the pavilion, whew, close call. After we ate and slept, our scouts were ready to go and we got up and went into the cavern for our tour. We saw all kinds of cool cave things like stalactites, stalagmites, and even bats! There was also an underground river-pool, and sadly, nobody went swimming. After that, our spelunking scouts got out and headed home after yet another wonderful trip with troop 11.
